This presentation will first introduce the whole picture of our long term memory project, and then focus on our current phase: extracting information from Friends series that are reused later. Then, the presentation will do a literature review on the evolution of tuple based methods, starting from ACE, to DialogueRE and life events. Next, the presentation will do a literature review on natural language based methods, such as claim bank, narrative memory graph with natural language nodes, and adstractive event frames. Finally, the presentation will propose some candidates on the definition of information/event/fact, and discuss how they might help in the implementation and measurement of our information extraction task.
